E.l.f. Cream Blush in Flirt

One of my many e.l.f. favorites! At a charming $6 it's worth a try. My dry skin prefers cream blushes over powder so I had to give this a try. I adore the packaging for the e.l.f. studio line. Some say it's bulky, I find it to be quite... classy :)

The consistency is a little strange for a cream blush. To me, it feels like playdoh. Though that probably doesn't sound appealing, it's actually a really nice texture, it blends really nicely.

The great thing about this blush is that it's as pigmented or as sheer as you want depending on how well you blend it in. It gives a nice matte finish and when used with a setting powder or spray, has decent lasting powder for a drugstore product.

Garnier BB Cream in Light/Medium

New best friend?

After hours of youtube viewing and blog reading about this product I had to have it!

First things first, what is BB cream? Also known as Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm, it's known for it's "all-in-one" properties. Moisturizer, primer, foundation, sunblock, this "miracle" product has it all. As far as coverage goes, it's a step above a tinted moisturizer and a step below a foundation. It's sheer yet buildable.

I found this little guy yesterday at walmart in the skincare aisle. (you won't find it with the makeup) It cost $12 which isn't too shabby for a whopping 2.5 fluid ounces in comparison to the typical 1 fluid ounce you get with high end products, not to mention the hefty price tag.

There are two things that I hate.. Cake face and spending unnecessary amounts of money. Lately, I've been on the hunt for a sheer, summery, natural look. My tinted moisturizer just isn't fitting the bill. This morning I dove right into what could be my new foundation routine, or shall I say BB cream routine :) Once I've used it for a week or so I'll provide a more thorough review and my final thoughts on the product. I am very excited to see how it turns out! As for today, so far so good, I'm really liking what I see.

Amazing homemade exfoliator!

Hey guys! I'm so excited to show you this homemade exfoliator! It works so well it just blows my mind. It leaves your skin feeling so amazing and smooth it's ridiculous. The best part? You only need two ingredients.

Granulated Sugar
&
Lemon Juice

There is no precise measurement really. The idea is to make a paste out of the two ingredients, obviously enough to cover your face. I use about a half a teaspoon of sugar and I cut a lemon in half and squeeze out a little bit of juice. Again, just enough to make a paste.

Wet your face a little bit and then rub the sugary paste all over your face in a circular, massaging motion. Avoid the eye area. If you get a little in the mouth area, don't fret, it tastes delicious! :)

Rinse your face with some warm water and voila! Enjoy your soft, beautiful skin!
